Macy is an excellent tour guide. I would highly recommend him. He is very attentive to catering the tour to your interests. I liked how his knowledge of the local Japanese culture was shared and enhanced the tour experience (like going to local mochi shop for snack before the hike). The hike to Anataki waterfall was enjoyable and it was fun to stand under the falls. I want everyone to try the shaved strawberries, they were delicious! The daifuku mochi was also amazing. I never thought I could have this much fun in Otaru!

Until now, I had always thought of Otaru as a tourist destination that was crowded and expensive, and a bit distant.
